What is D-Know?
D-Know is a desktop app that lets you talk and chat with your private knowledge — notes, documents, and team shared memory — while keeping local files as the default source of truth.
Where do my files live?
By default, knowledge stays on your machine. Optional vault and team features may sync selected content through our control plane and configured storage. You choose what becomes shared.
Which platforms are supported?
macOS and Windows. Download links are on the home page. Installers appear there as builds ship.
Do I need an account?
You can explore local-first use depending on build configuration. Cloud sign-in at api.dknowai.com unlocks account, billing, and team collaboration features.
How does team collaboration work?
Organizations can share knowledge that should be company memory. Confidential conversations and attachments stay on restricted paths when marked that way — not dumped into the open team feed.
Is D-Know free?
Plans depend on Personal, Business, School, and IT account types. Billing is handled through Stripe when you subscribe. See in-app settings or contact us for org pricing.
How do I delete my data?
In the app: Settings → Usage → Privacy & data. You can also email privacy@dknowai.com. Details are in our Privacy policy.
